put your head on my shoulder: ep 12 recap
With Xing Fei, Lin Yi, Tara Clance, Jingjing Chen. Because I remember the girl was Momo… which is very strange since they aren’t together and it should logically be Wang Shan since they are together? That’s very typical of calculating people, I’ve found. And yes, YouTube accessibility rocks! Put Your Head on My Shoulder Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 2 April 15, 2019 admin 0 Comment This is the recap of Put Your Head on My Shoulder Chinese Drama Episode 2, Fu Pei asks Wei Yi to explain about he and Situ Mo’s relationship. That’s very thoughtful and sensitive of him. 45:41 [ENG SUB] Put Your Head On My Shoulder EP18. E8. That’s probably why I really loved Put your head [title too long! He even tricks her into coming home, probably hoping to spend some time with her. I can see why Gu Wei Yi was so smitten, so fast. It’s becoming more and more obvious that Gu Wei Yi likes Mo Mo. Even though Put Your Head on my Shoulder is thought to be the less popular sibling show of A Love so Beautiful, I’m one of the few who prefer the former. Add Cast. The look in his eyes as he sleepily leans down to reach her is melty stuff. The most he says is that it isn’t what Fu Pei thinks, but he doesn’t move to explain further, even when Fu Pei goes on and on about looking good in a green hat (a Chinese euphemism for being made a cuckold), resolutely keeping quiet and keeping his gaze firmly trained on Mo Mo, to see what she wanted to do in this situation. It’s still airing so not sure if show will stay cracky but at least the 1st half I think is worth a watch! Except for the awkward static kisses (which I’ll credit to – blame on? I think everything you said about the show is exactly what I thought about it as well. I just love how Mo Mo conducts herself when Fu Pei confronts her about not liking him anymore. Here are the shows I've already seen. It’s definitely an Asian thing, the submissive girl. In ALSB the unrequited pining of a lame FL is off putting, and their relationship dynamic barely changes when they grow up – as in he’s cold, successful and she’s his fan girl of average intelligence. While most folks that I know who’ve tried this show have come away enjoying this one a lot, my sister (who did love ALSB a great deal) just couldn’t get into it, which leads me to conclude that while this show has a pretty wide appeal, it doesn’t necessarily work for everyone. However, I am annoyed at FP’s temporary inability to move on when he’s with someone else. The awkward aftermath feels so true-to-life, without being too painful to watch. And I keep watching her, all day, with a goofy smile. Fu Pei learned NOTHING from what he did to MoMo and victimized himself even though he’s the one who led her on through the years (hurting her during them, constantly). Haven’t watched it myself but sounds pretty promising and different, heh. The acting is reasonably decent overall to my eyes, with some cast members coming across greener than others. However, because Gu Wei Yi is both aloof and emotionally awkward, Lin Yi’s stiffer delivery works with the character instead of against it. And now I can’t delete it :X, No worries, MC – I’ve deleted the second one for ya, and kept the first! And he even takes her to the hospital to get checked out. If he’s aloof with her, she shrugs it right off and carries on about her way. Lin Yi. Gu Wei Yi’s attempts to improve his score on Mo Mo’s scorecard of him, is amusing, and so in character. Hi Elizabeth, thanks for enjoying the review! Clashing repeatedly, the two accidentally end up having to live together. Why the cardboard kissing? When Gu Wei Yi offers to fix her mobile phone screen, she resists, until he talks her into a corner. In concept, I like that Mo Mo and Gu Wei Yi are jealous of the other person having interactions with perceived threats to their maybe-almost-relationship, but I don’t like that panned out. I think that made the whole mug thing even better because he took the time and care to put it back together for her, it just felt very in character for him. I feel like I felt basically the exact same way, except that I didn’t actually skip scenes of the side characters – which I totally should have! Also when they simultaneously quit for the unfair treatment, can we say strong female friendship and girl power? Mo Mo: You That’s not cool. Click here to follow Cookie on her adventures! Ahhhhhhhhhh! When Gu Wei Yi tells the teacher that he calls the shots in their (brand new fake) relationship, Mo Mo immediately pipes up, “Says who? Who doesn’t want a surprise wedding?! E9. I can’t stop right now !! The meaningful glances were so sweet, the kisses were like … usual Chinese drama kisses. ❤️, Flash Review: The Smile Has Left Your Eyes [Hundred Million Stars From The Sky], Dear kfangurl: What are some dramas that would make my day better? Yes, I have to agree that the chemistry between the leads really made this show fun to watch! I like that neither of them gets angry or holds a grudge against the other person, when their important plans get thrown off because of the accidental bag switch. For a series that has no major conflicts and has a flimsy secondary couple, they’re really betting on the lead to push this on through and it did. I just fast forwarded his parts as much as possible. Thank you, Fangirl! But keep mum he does, out of respect and deference to Mo Mo, and I love that. 73 thoughts on “ Review: Put Your Head On My Shoulder [China] ” Byeol Shin-Ang November 29, 2020 at 12:03 pm. On that note, it annoys me that Fu Pei is offering Gu Wei Yi advice on how to court Mo Mo. Ahh! I really liked that one a lot. This did not combine well with my already poor impression of the character, and I eventually found myself having to grit my teeth a little, in order to endure his scenes. I agree, I found Mo Mo refreshing, and I definitely got the feeling that she would’ve been just fine on her own without a boy by her side. Thank you for your advice regarding ALSB. It’s slice-of-life, and sometimes it feels like our story meanders, with various plot points thrown in there just to get our OTP from Point A to Point B in terms of relationship development. I used to be all for the aloof & cold Male Lead but after getting a dose of Gu Wei Yi (and being reminded that there are sooo many really sweet Male Leads out there), I just can’t deal with those any more. His love confession bombed not once, not twice, but three times that night but he gets back to doing the sweet behind-the-scene things we’ve come to expect of him. not sure) apparently is on the long/slow side, so people have been saying that the edit on tv (the CCTV version, if you can find it) is actually better for once – more condensed and faster pace, making for a more intense/dramatic feel. The world needs more kind and understanding souls like you! <3, Pingback: Flash Review: Suddenly This Summer [China] | The Fangirl Verdict, This does sound like such a cute and fully drama , Oh, this one is absolutely a cute and fluffy one – if you’re up for a slice-of-life flavored youth romance, this would do quite nicely I think! She’s got a feisty independent streak, and won’t allow herself to be easily beaten down. I think I found it too cutesy. E8. Episode 1 Episode 2 Episode 3 Episode 4 Episode 5 Episode 6 Episode 7 Episode 8 Episode 9 Episode 10 Episode 11 Episode 12 Episode 13 Episode 14 Episode 15 Episode 16 Episode 17 Episode 18 Episode 19 Episode 20 Episode 21 Episode 22 Episode 23 Episode 24 Episode 25 . But, I figured that some of you would actually enjoy walking down memory lane and reliving all of the feels with me, so here it all is: E1. I didn’t like the second couple at all, but after someone told me how they were written in the book, I disliked them a lot less. Also at the part where FP said “I will smash myself with the rock.” It’s a joke, people are taking it way too seriously. Another thing that I think works in Show’s favor, is how our warm cheery girl is largely unaffected by the handsome genius, and even nurses a crush on – gasp! There are so many instances that this OTP counted as a highlight for me, that I considered paring this down to a smaller, Top Ten sort of list. The way he goes about it is rather transactional, though, which niggles at me a little bit. He’s been so thoughtless towards her, and yet he wants to preserve his special bond of not-quite-boyfriend with her? I could feel that he was ready to support her, in whatever decision she made, about what to say to Fu Pei. In this case, she is talking about how it’s sometimes hard to let someone go, which is when he burns the string through, to help her see that letting go doesn’t have to be hard. In episode 12, Jealousy rears its head, and I didn’t like this episode because of how that worked out. She answers the phone anyway and on the other … Him having trouble maintaining his relationships and immature way of dealing with emotions, his display of potential mental and emotional abuse from his father are very clear. Hi kfangirl and this show was reminiscent of the all-time favorite ALSB. While it certainly doesn’t influence me to actually like him as a character, I do feel like he’s a little more understandable now. I love how down-to-earth and easygoing Mo Mo is. I’m curious; which one did you like the best? E18. Based on the author’s book of the same name, the 24 episode series brings to life a sweet and funny campus love story between two individuals, Si Tu Mo played by … I had to skip through scenes of Fu Pei, and his romance with Shanshan. E11. Sweet! Why is Shan Shan the one who dresses up for the date, while Fu Pei gets to slouch around in his tracksuit and tell her that she looks pretty nice and should’ve started dressing like this ages ago. Oh, Fu Pei. I love the leads from PYH because their relationship seemed so natural, and progressed in a way that seemed real and organic – at least compared to many of the other dramas I’ve watched. E7. , Pingback: Year In Review: 2019 | The Fangirl Verdict. I’m aware that this became more than just two things, but while I’m here I wanted to mention I’m also surprised you didn’t mention her coworker from the first advertisement agency she worked at; I genuinely think Tu Jie Er and her relationship with Mo Mo was actually a highlight of the show. 16. Main Role. Season 1. . What did Mo Mo ever see in him? As expected, Show wraps up in a cloud of sweetness, with enough neat bows tied up for enough of our key characters, to make us feel like we’re leaving them in a good place, as the final credits roll. From the creator of A Love So Beautiful, Zhao Gangan, comes another new romantic drama Put Your Head on My Shoulder 致我们暖暖的小时光. I do love that even though there’s a measure of attraction to the other person on both sides, both Mo Mo and Gu Wei Yi largely behave the same way around each other as they always have. He leaves on the pretext of buying her a bandaid for the nick on her finger, so that she’ll have the privacy to cry if she wants to.
